Individuals at this level display initiative and judgement in planning, organising, implementing and monitoring their own workload and the workload of others. They use communication skills to support individuals and teams to meet organisational or enterprise requirements.

They plan, design, apply and evaluate solutions to unpredictable problems, and identify, analyse and synthesise information from a variety of sources.

Entry Requirement

International students must meet the following requirements:

  • Must be 18 years or older at course commencement.
  • Students must have completed Australian Year 12 or equivalent; or have completed Certificate IV in Leadership and Management or relevant qualification
  • Provide English language skills either by:
    • Evidence of English tests e.g. IELTS 5.5 or equivalent.
    • Minimum of two (2) years study at an AQF level 4 or higher
      completed in Australia.

Delivery mode and Assessment

The course is delivered face-to- face, in a classroom based training model of 20 hours per week. College will employ a range of assessment methods that are fair, valid, reliable and reasonable while ensuring they meet the requirements of the relevant Training Package and the rules of evidence.

Assessments for this course have been designed for classroom-based face-to-face face delivery and assessment. Assessments will include a range of assessment tasks such as:

Upon successful completion of BSB51918 Diploma of Leadership and Management, the candidate may pursue BSB60915 Advanced Diploma of Management or a range of other Advanced Diploma in the BSB training package.

Course Credit and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

All individuals who have completed national recognised training that is on the RTO scope will receive credit transfer (CT) for the previously completed unit(s) of competency.All individual students are offered the opportunity to apply for RPL, please see the Student Handbook or enquire at the RTO for the procedure on how to apply.
